In the northeastern corner of Puerto Rico lies one of the richest rain forests on earth. El Yunque National Forest, formerly called the Caribbean National Forest, is the only tropical rain forest in the United States National Forest System. It’s an important ecosystem on the island, and a favorite destination of native Puerto Ricans and tourists alike.

Occupying just over 28,000 acres, it’s impossible to see the entire thing in one day, or even in one week. Some areas are so dense as to make any sort of hiking nearly impossible. Still, there are many areas that are more open and conducive to hiking or walking. And there’s a lot to see. Waterfalls, all kinds of plants and flowers, and too many birds and other forms of wildlife to count. If you really want to get a good look at some of the animals that live in the forest bring a pair of waterproof binoculars. They need to be waterproof because the air is so humid, it would damage regular binoculars.

El Yunque is one of the oldest nature reserves in the western hemisphere. The land was protected by Spain’s King Alfonso XII in 1876, and then established as Luquillo Forest Reserve in 1903. It became a National Forest in 1906, and was renamed Caribbean National Forest in 1935. It remained as such until 2007, when the name was changed to El Yunque to portray more accurately the culture and history of Puerto Rico and its people.

A true rainforest, El Yunque receives about 240 inches of rain each year. That’s roughly 100 billion gallons throughout the forest. Another good reason to make sure you bring waterproof binoculars or cameras! You may also want to use a good binocular harness to keep your hands free while you hike.

Because it’s a Federally managed forest, there is no lodging within its confines. There are several hotels near El Yunque. It’s easy to find a place to stay that’s convenient to the forest, which you’ll appreciate after a day of hiking. There are lots of other activities to take part in, too. You can participate in guided tours, snorkeling, and moonlight boat cruises. In Fajardo, a small city not far from El Yunque, you can also kayak through a bioluminescent bay. The light is created by microscopic plankton that illuminate when touched. It’s truly a sight to behold.

Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States, so no passport is necessary to travel there. If you’re traveling from anywhere other than the U.S., it’s a good idea to check on this before you plan your travel so you’re prepared. While you’re visiting, be sure to sample some of Puerto Rico’s native cuisine. The island is known for everything from the staple chicken and rice, to delicious fresh seafood. The island also offers several kinds of exotic tropical fruit not found in many other parts of the world.

El Yunque makes it possible for may people to see a real rain forest without having to travel too long of a distance. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience not to be missed.

When considering a travel holiday to the Caribbean Barbados is considered by many to be the best choice of islands with its beautiful beaches, high standard of living, and amazing people. Whether you are in the market for total relaxation or a holiday packed with activities and parties Barbados will not disappoint.

Barbados, located in the southern Caribbean, is the most easterly of the Caribbean islands, located at Latitude 13° north and Longitude 59° 37W. This isolated pear-shaped island is for 21 miles long and 14 miles wide at its widest point, giving it a total land area of 166 square miles.

Barbadians or Bajans as locals call themselves are among the most educated people in the world with free education a right of each and every Barbadian citizen.

Although there a many private doctors and clinics on the island providing excellent care. Health care is also guaranteed to every citizen and the standard of care is high.

The island’s lone airport. The Grantley Adams International Airport, is one of the most modern in the Caribbean and is serviced by many major airlines including Air Canada, American Airlines, British Airways, Air Jamaica, BWIA International and Virgin Atlantic.

This charming island is made up mainly of coral limestone and is fringed with coral reefs. However, the north-eastern part of the island or The Scotland District which runs through the parishes of St. John, St. Joseph and St Andrew is comprised of sandstone and clay. This area is well known for its lush vegetation and spectacular scenery and is covered in most if not all island tours.
The island is characterized by gently sloping; terraced plains which rise west to east to it’s highest point Mount Hillaby at 1100 ft.

Most of the development in the island can be found along the south and west coasts of the island with the Capital Bridgetown at its centre. Most Huatulco Hotels on the island are also located on the south or west coasts of the island, with the south coast being the most active, the Huatulco Hotels on the south coast in general tend to be mostly 2 to 4 star Huatulco Hotels with many no frills accommodation available while the west coast is where most of the luxury Huatulco Hotels are located, including the exclusive Sandy Lane Hotel, although there are exceptions to the rule in both instances.

The crystal clear ocean of Barbados beaches provide the perfect setting for days spent at the beach engaged in water or beach activities including jet-skiing, surfing, kiteboarding, windsurfing, kayaking, parasailing, sailing, water skiing, snorkeling, wakeboarding and scuba diving. There is also deep sea fishing, boat cruises Boat Charters available. For the true water enthusiast there are rentals available for almost all disciplines including scuba gear, surfboards, kayaks and kite equipment. Lessons are available for almost all water activities as well.

If you were to travel the coast of the island you would find the calm waters of the west coast meeting the small shore break conditions of the south getting increasingly rougher as we come around the east with the Atlantic waves rolling in and finally the equally rough conditions of the north battering the cliffs.

Transportation on the island is also excellent with the Transport Board which is government run and Route Taxi’s providing excellent coverage to just about every conceivable destination. In addition there are many taxis and Rental Car companies available for those who wish to travel at their own convenience.

The nightlife on Barbados is very varied and ranges from the cultural rum shops to modern nightclubs, beach bars, pubs and also some of the best restaurants to be found anywhere in the Caribbean.

Many a happy couple dream of tying the knot in a far-away Caribbean destination; hence the reason for the term “Caribbean destination wedding” in the first place. Just a decade or so ago, the practice of transporting an entire wedding to a location other than the local church was unheard of; but in today’s society of bigger and better, you can’t go wrong with such an exotic wedding day.

Planning any wedding can be a monumental task, let alone planning a wedding on a Caribbean island. However, with a little research and a lot of organizing, the bride and groom can choose from a multitude of locations where the sand will be warm under their feet and the ocean breeze will caress their first kiss as husband and wife.

One of the first things to know about Caribbean destination weddings is that there are multiple locations to choose from. The Caribbean consists of over a dozen islands surrounding the Caribbean Sea. Choices for wedding locations abound with these numbers. There is the island of Jamaica, which is a popular choice. There is also the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and The Cayman Islands.

With so many choices, what might you want to consider when planning a Caribbean destination wedding?

Work with professionals. Especially because your destination is far from home, working with a professional coordinator is an essential part of your wedding going off without a hitch. Many Caribbean destination weddings are planned through knowledgeable coordinators associated with major resorts. It takes only a bit of homework to find one you trust.

Send invites early. Because of the travel involved, guests will need to take some time away from work, home and family responsibilities to attend your nuptials. In order to ensure you’ve given enough time for your guests to plan, sending out a save the date card is recommended. Typical invitations go out 4 to 6 weeks before the event; therefore, save the dates should go out well before then.

Consider the climate. If you are planning a Caribbean destination wedding, it is wise to know the climate during the time of year, and time of day, you plan to wed. In some areas, the sun can beat down quite hot; you wouldn’t want to be stuck without some shade for you and your guests if you plan a daytime wedding.

Decide what you will pay for. Oftentimes, guests of a Caribbean destination wedding will cover their own travel fares. However, it is a nice gesture on your part to make arrangements in terms of accommodations and flights to the extent of finding good packages. Work with a hotel in your Caribbean location to set aside special rates for your guests, and include that information in your invitations. Guests will appreciate it.

Make sure you know the marriage laws of the island you will be married on. This is very important, as you don’t want to go through all that planning just to find out our marriage isn’t legal. Working through a coordinator, you will likely be guided through the process well, but knowing that all islands do not have the same marriage laws will prompt you to be aware and to ask questions on this topic.

A Caribbean destination wedding can be an affair you will remember forever. Getting through red tape is a cinch when you are prepared with the right questions and carry the right tools. Enjoy!

If winter is not an agreeable season for you, you should be able to come up with any excuse to escape it. Are you planning for spending some quality time with your family? If so, getting out during the winter holidays to have a family tour can be really fun! Or are you deciding to take your wedding vows? Do it in the winter when you can ride away with your wedded lover from the snow and the cold for your honeymoon!
To run away from the winter blues, you can go take refuge in a tropical place with beaches and leisurely hammocks where you can sip your drink and pass the time under the sweaty sun. But before you make your decision, you have to see where it is you want to go and then decide on the means to travel. What can you do for the journey? Here are some tips and advice for your comfort:

If you are crossing the border to reach another country, you have to go for air rides. And by air rides we mean only one thing: airplanes. Of course, you can also journey by ships, but that is very expensive and you will need a lot of time to reach the place of destination. Airplanes are still the most convenient and cheap and safe way to travel. Plus here, there is no chance to get sea sick.

But if you are going somewhere within the state or a little farther away, you can as well as drive all the way with your family. But make sure that the route you choose is good for safe driving and that you take the necessary winter protections along with you. But car drives have a little bit of risks involved, like there might be a possibility of road accidents and you may often have to stay in a motel if the ride is long. That is why many people prefer airplane rides. But there are advantages and disadvantages in all the cases and that is why you have to choose carefully.

Mainly people, who stay in the eastern and Midwest regions where it is very cold, travel a lot during winter. They generally look for respite from the biting cold and therefore often go down to the beaches for comfort.

You can even go for cruises to some of the most exotic places in the world like Hawaii, Mexico and Caribbean and even the Orient. If you want to take the weekend off, you can easily make it to the Caribbean since it is not very far away. You can be there by Friday and come back home by Monday.

But if you want to get away for the whole weekend, the perfect get away spot would be the islands of U.S.V.I where you can do snorkeling, visit historic sites and do shopping or just laze around in the beach.

Winter cruises during September to December is considered to be off-season due to hurricanes that often occur during these times. That is why this time you will be able to cruise on a low budget. But if you are in trouble, the ship will immediately sidetrack and stay away from the hurricane’s way to keep you all safe.

So what are you waiting for? Beat away the winter blahs by going out to the hottest destinations to spend the time with your loved ones. This will be fun, plus, where everyone else will be blue with cold, you would come back home with a gorgeous tan! Pretty impressive, huh?

This area is well known for its lush vegetation and spectacular scenery and is covered in most if not all island tours.
The island is characterized by gently sloping; terraced plains which rise west to east to it’s highest point Mount Hillaby at 1100 ft.

When most people think about an all inclusive honeymoon, they automatically conjure up images of lying on beach in the Caribbean. If that’s your dream vacation, there’s plenty of all inclusive resorts, which can fit your needs. However, many honeymooners want an all inclusive vacation, but do not want to go to the Caribbean. Here are five suggestions for exotic all inclusive honeymoon packages located outside of the Caribbean.

1. Breezes in Brazil- Breezes may be famous for its Caribbean locations, but the two Breezes locations in Brazil are gems that provide a tropical experience in a setting completely different from the Caribbean. Breezes Costa do Sauipe is located just north of Salvador, Brazil and is for ages fourteen plus only, making it a perfect choice for an all inclusive honeymoon package. Closer to Rio de Janerio, you will find Breezes Buzios. This resort opened in December 2009 to rave reviews and allows guests of all ages to enjoy Brazil the all inclusive way.

2. Club Med Phuket Thailand- The Asian market has been underserved by all inclusive resorts until very recently. Club Med Phuket provides an all inclusive honeymoon package in one of Asia’s hottest tourist spots. Located on the edge of Kata Bay along a mile of beach, this resort offers everything from golf to cooking classes and of course the beautiful scenery of Thailand. If you prefer a different Asian based all inclusive resort, Club Med also offers locations in Japan, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

3. Qamea Resort and Spa in Fiji- If you’ve ever dreamed of staying on your own private island, Qamea Resort and Spa may be the all inclusive honeymoon package for you. Located in Fiji, an island nation east of New Zealand, this resort is so exclusive it only allows seventeen couples on the resort island at a time. You can even pack a picnic lunch for a trip to your own private honeymoon beach. For engaged couples on the west coast of the United States or Canada, Fiji is actually closer than the southern most islands of the Caribbean and a nonstop flight from Los Angles to Fiji is included in the price of your stay at Qamea.

4. Occidental Grand Teguise Playa in the Canary Islands- You may know Occidental Resorts for having some of the most popular all inclusive resorts in the Caribbean, but did you know they also have properties in Spain? The Occidental Grade Teguise Playa brings an all inclusive resort to the Spanish Canary Islands. This Mediterranean hot spot is located right on the beach and has a true European flare with guests hailing from all corners of the world. Occidental Grand Teguise Playa offers an all inclusive package that is somewhat more limited than the typical inclusions in the Caribbean, but given the great price of this hotel and the unique location it’s a fair trade off. Another all inclusive choice in the Spanish Canary Islands is the budget priced but stylish Allegro Oasis Resort, which is also owned by Occidental Resorts.

5. Club Med Djerba La Douce in Tunisia- Club Med once again makes our list for a top all inclusive honeymoon package with their adults only resort in Tunisia, a small African nation nestled on the Mediterranean. Sports are very popular here and include everything from tennis to sailing. The resort has been recently remodeled with a Calypso theme appropriate to the surroundings. This Club Med does allow families, but an alternative may be the nearby Club Med Djerba La Fidele, which is adults only. However we’ve heard that several people consider La Fidele to be more of a young singles resort, thus cutting back on the romance factor.

No matter where you’d like to travel for your dream honeymoon, there is an all inclusive vacation package which can fit your needs.

Slot machines are the most popular form of casino entertainment, both at land-based and online casinos. Charles Fey, an enterprising American, invented the first slot machine in 1898. His “Liberty Bell” was a three-reel slot that is considered to be the forerunner of all modern slot machines. Online slots began as classic three-reel games that could be played with one to three coins. Today, online slot machines can have three, five, or seven reels and as many as 100 pay-lines. Probably the most popular type of online slot is a 5-reel video game with multiple pay-lines.

This article summarizes Caribbean Cruise, a 5-reel video slot from Play Tech software.

Caribbean Cruise is a 5-reel, 5 pay-line video slot that has a travel theme. It accepts coins from 1¢ to $5.00, and the maximum number of coins that you can bet per spin is 20 ($100). Caribbean Cruise comes with 15 winning combinations, a top jackpot of 2,000 coins, and a second jackpot of 400 coins.

Symbols on the reels include Binoculars, Suitcase, Steering Wheel, and Anchor.

Not all online casinos accept players from the USA. This includes all Microgaming, Boss Media, and Play Tech casinos. However, all of these online casinos from Real Time Gaming welcome USA players: Rushmore, Slots Oasis, Cherry Red, Slots Plus, Vegas Casino Online, Las Vegas USA, All Star Slots, Club USA, Lucky Red, and Aladdin’s Palace.

So there you have it, a summary of Caribbean Cruise, a 5-reel video slot machine. Whether you play slot machines in Las Vegas or at your favorite online casino, gamble only with the money you can afford to lose. Budget your money, and never gamble when you are tired or irritable. Lastly, have fun and quit while you are ahead.
