When you are planning a vacation to the Caribbean, particularly Antigua, think nothing less than a luxury holiday package, because you deserve it; not only this, timely booking of hotels and resorts make luxury holidays quite affordable.

The Caribbean region can be visited any time of the year, other than the hurricane season, because the sea is really rough, and it is not possible to indulge in water sports like sailing and surfing. The overall temperature of this region is tropical, which is one of its major attractions for people coming from the European countries.

Even the special luxury holiday packages are not so expensive because of the low air fares, tourism friendly facilities in the region and very reasonable accommodation. You can choose to stay in five star hotels of Antigua like Jumby Bay or rent luxury villas on isolated and exotic resorts of the Caribbean. Some other top rated hotels and villas in Antigua and Barbuda are: Carlisle Bay, St. James club and villas, Galley Bay resort and spa, The Verandah Resort and spa, and Hermitage Bay.

Some of the above mentioned hotels are award winning hotels due to their excellent services. These hotels and resorts are built in unique, classical as well as modern architecture. The hotels are literally huge – most of them covering areas of at least 100 acres of lush green lawns and playgrounds.

People coming for their wedding or honeymoon prefer luxury packages, because they want to make the best of their times. The resorts with spa facilities are ideal for them because of their isolated location, which is just perfect for romance. Moreover, one can find individual cottage suites on the beach in the famous and fully equipped resorts and beaches.

One can avail luxury packages, offered by all major hotels in the Caribbean region. Most of them are all inclusive packages, which simply add to your comfort and pleasure. You get to enjoy luxury holidays in Antigua or any other part in the Caribbean by choosing any luxury deal that suits your pocket and timings. Some deals are offered for limited time only. For example, Jumby Bay in Antigua is offering one complimentary night, if you stay for four nights. This offer is valid from 3rd Jan. 2010-30th May 2010. Other hotels and resorts come up with their luxury deals every now and then, and you can have updates from them by signing up with travel websites on the internet.

Luxury holidays are incomplete without travelling first class. This is how you begin your journey in style and luxury. A lot of airlines have the Caribbean destinations on their regular air route, and you can check from the country, where you shall be flying from to the Caribbean.

American Airlines, US Airways, Air Canada, Caribbean Airlines, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Air France, Lufthansa, KLM and Condor are some of the main international carriers that cater to frequent flights to the Caribbean. Regional airlines cater to all the indirect and those routes which are not catered by the international airlines.

For the perfect experience in Antigua the Hermitage Bay Hotel offers five star luxury and exclusivity. The Sandy Lane Hotel located in Barbados is the resort most exclusive place to stay while holidaying on the tropical island.

An Antigua Holiday staying at the Suite Hotel called the Trade Winds above Dickenson Bay could make a lot of sense. The Trade Winds Hotel could also be a good choice for your Antigua Honeymoon, as it is small and intimate, having only 45 rooms, and is definitely a place for the discerning guest.

Best described as peaceful, friendly, and relaxing the Trade Winds Hotel provides the perfect solution for people who don’t want to pay the earth, and don’t want something that is overly pretentious. Whilst not really what you would describe as a boutique hotel, because that would be pretentious, the Trade Winds nevertheless is similar without the sky high prices.

Being on a hill, the views are spectacular, although the walk up from the beach is steep. Having said that the hotel operates a shuttle bus, so you don’t have to walk. The benefits far outweigh the drawbacks, because the hill gives you not only the spectacular view, it also means the hotel is away from the noise and bustle, so you do get peace and quiet.

The beach itself, and anyone choosing an Antigua holiday will be mindful of the great beaches the island has, and they will not be disappointed here. You can walk for what seems like miles and the water is such a dreamy shade of blue. There are places to eat, bars, whee if you buy a few drinks, they will supply you with deck chairs.

Reports from guests talk about the fact that the Trade Winds Hotel may be rated as a three star, but the general feeling was it was in truth between four to five star but with three star prices. A little bit of luxury, with very professional and friendly staff, is another often heard comment from the very satisfied guests.

The rooms are large and this cannot always be said when you stay in an hotel on an Antigua vacation. They are also light and airy with a terrace or balcony that looks out over the sea.

The food in the restaurant, called Bay House is excellent with good choices, and you will notice a good many non residents, and locals coming into eat in the evenings. Probably the outstanding part of the evening meals are the desserts. There is also a small pool, sun deck, and bar, and the grounds are lush with tropical vegetation

One of the great things about taking an Antigua holiday at the Trade Winds Hotel is that you will be made to feel like an individual. This means the staff appear to know your room number, your name very quickly, and your likes and dislikes in the way of food and drink. This sort of thing rarely happens when you stay in a larger hotel where it can be quite impersonal.

If you can get your meal plans in place before you go. There are some great restaurants within easy driving reach, so determine what you want to do in the evenings, because if you take the meal plan that includes dinner, you will find that whilst there is a $50ECD limit for breakfast which is no problem anyway, there is no limit for dinner, so you can try all the most expensive dishes and it will be included.. Also be aware that a lot of rooms are permanently booked to BA aircrew, and whilst they can be somewhat boisterous, they do come and go, which adds an air of exclusivity for those permanent, or semi permanent guests.

The Trade Winds Hotel would be a good choice for an Antigua Holiday, and ideal for an Antigua Honeymoon if you want the glamour of the Caribbean, but not some of the ridiculous prices.

Choosing a Caribbean Island Vacation is difficult because to the outsider the Caribbean is just the Caribbean, with each island being much like the other. The insider will however tell you that each island has its own identity, none more so than Antigua.

The island of Antigua is always associated with Barbuda, but this article isn’t about Antigua and Barbuda, but about what it is that should make you want to choose Antigua for your Caribbean Island Vacation.

Antigua is the largest of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean, north of Montserrat and Guadeloupe, and to the south and east of Nevis, St Kitts, St Barts, and St Martin. It is some fourteen miles long and eleven miles wide, totalling 108 square miles. This means with its 365 beaches, one for every day of the year, there is plenty Antigua to explore, and furthermore there is lots to see thanks to the close links with Britain and the British Navy in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century.

Visitors who have chosen Antigua for their Caribbean Island Vacation, also inevitably visit English Harbour which is Antigua’s evocative historical district, around Nelson’s Dockyard National Park. The whole harbour area was the headquarters of the fleet in Nelson’s time. There are historical buildings and fortifications to be seen around the park.

Antigua’s beaches are of course a huge reason for taking a Caribbean Island Vacation here. The majority of the beaches are on the west coast , which is the more sheltered calm and protected part.

All of the beaches are open to the public and each has different characteristics, so the main difficulty you will have is finding the perfect Antigua beach for you. One piece of advice is to never go to isolated beaches on your own, and another is to make sure you get good directions before you go.

On the northwest coast you will find Dickenson Bay and Runaway Bay, both highly developed and great resort beaches. Closest to St Johns are Fort James, and Deep Bay. In the winter surfers go to Galley Bay and the four beaches at Hawksbill are impressive, just beware that one is a nudist beach.

On the southwest and south coast of Antigua are where you will find the less visited and developed beaches because the area is quite hilly. A road winds along the coast here and you will find beaches like Fryes Bay, Darkwood Beach, and the beaches around Johnsons Point.

Rendezvous Bay, and Doigs Beach are especially very quiet beaches but not easy to get to. If you are looking for an Antigua Beach to relax on after visiting English Harbour then try Pigeon Point.

On the east coast, the south east corner is Half Moon Bay, is a national park, and if you want a family beach, then this and Long Bay which is as far to the east as you can go are both outstanding. The beaches facing east are quite rough but great for beachcombing.

Whether it is history and sightseeing or beaches, Antigua has something for everyone as a Caribbean Island Vacation

Dream Holidays in Antigua

When thinking about dream holidays in Antigua, then the first thing that probably comes to your mind is bliss and calmness, or simply a memorable and adventurous time. Antigua is considered to be the ultimate luxury destination for holidays. Antigua is one of the most famous destinations in the Caribbean Sea and a must see place for those who go on luxury cruises in the Caribbean Islands.

What is most amazing about Antigua is that it features as many beaches as the days of a year, meaning that it has a little more than 365. It is a paradise for sea and water sport lovers, as there is nothing you cannot do here. Snorkelling, diving, sailing, scuba diving, discovering the reefs, island hoping, or simply enjoying the endless sandy beaches are just a few of the available options when visiting Antigua. Temperatures on this island hover usually around 35C in summer and around 20C in winter, so it’s the ideal location to visit, even for your Christmas holidays or Spring Break.

Even if you don’t care much about the beaches, Antigua is a rich place to visit, as far as culture is concerned. St. John, Antigua’s capital which is located at the northern part of the island is a wonderful place to be, and features elements and architectural influences that source from the intense British influence which is obvious all over the island.

Actually the English Language and cricket are both parts of Antigua’s culture, and stayed as a legacy of the British imperialism; the country and island of Antigua are very popular among westerners, especially the English speaking ones, since the scenery is somewhat colonial and quite familiar. In any case, Antigua’s long history is reflected to its architecture, culture and food.

During your Dream Holiday you may visit restaurants and dining outlets that offer a wide range of culinary choices that can suit most palates. European, American and fusion options are available, while many restaurants offer a great variety of local dishes, prepared in a traditional way of cooking. Seafood is the main theme here, as in all Caribbean Islands.

Outside resorts everything is low-key and laid back. Service in hotels and restaurants or bars is always friendly, and you can sample the rich island life and mix with the charming locals. Antigua, as all Caribbean islands provide a bit of each possible activity, making your holiday a memorable and satisfying experience. Dream Holidays in Antigua is an option to explore.

What do you think about when someone mentions the Caribbean? Numberous of tourist come to the Caribbean and vacation. Plenty has been written about the attractiveness of the Islands. It’s well known Antigua, Barbardos, and even Cuba are the Worlds hottest vacation hangouts. Antigua hotels, boasting an equality all of thier own. Located north of the equator, an archipelago of paradises each of their rightful proprietorship. Antigua hotels bills itself as one of the worlds greatest vacation places.

You never know what’ll be going on in Antigua. The crowds are mixed, and so is the entertainment, everything from viewing the turquoise ocean, sunning on the beach, or relaxing poolside with a pina colada in hand for the slacker. Antigua hotels offer entertainment everyday of the year and attracts an assortment of individuals including the rich and the famous.

Repeat tourist claim that the great assemblage is the big draw in Antigua. You might happen on Royalty or JoBob your old freind you haven’t seen in years. The Royalty is watching the same tide rising and falling just like JoBob and yourself enjoying the same gorgeous view. Several Royal regulars are seen at Antigua Hotels for the record.

There`s more than regulars in Antigua. A visit to St. John`s to shop, dine, or take in the culture for some of us on the go characters. Deep sea diving or fishing, or a sunset cruise should be saved for the adventurous at heart. Be careful don’t forget why your at Antigua, get your rest for who knows what the night has in store.

The party heats up after seven, and places gets full fast. Though raggamuffins offer a melody of jungle music and ragga beats the music is original. One ultimately finds a large deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, to lose oneself in ones thoughts, and making plans to return.

If your calendar is too full to fit in Antigua, your too busy, but again there`s always next year. After vacationing in Antigua , you`ll make plans to visit again. You wanted to see that lagoon, try out steamed shrimp, and how about the souvenir you promised to buy.

I am a higly travelled businessman from London who has decided to share my global adventures with all of you. I offer great travel tips that should be able to help you in a number of ways; information, deals and what to do.

Hope you enjoy.

An Antigua Holiday spent in a family owned oceanfront hotel could be a dramatically different way to take a vacation especially if you choose the Long Bay Hotel. It is situated on the northeast coast of Antigua flanked by a beach and a lagoon, and close to the Indian Town and Devil’s Bridge National Parks.

The best way of describing the Long Bay Hotel is to say it is small, with less than thirty rooms, old fashioned, and almost with the feel of a members only country club to it, absolutely worlds away from the all-inclusive hotels that dor the Caribbean like a rash. The fact that it is privately owned makes it much more personal, and this becomes obvious the longer you stay there. There is almost something slightly eccentric about it, and unlike many hotels in the world where you ate cocooned and could be anywhere, the Long Bay Hotel will leave you with many happy memories of what Antigua must have been like twenty or thirty years ago.

To go into slightly more detail, it has been described as the top B & B in Antigua, although a better description might be that it is a top Caribbean Hotel in Antigua. To call it a B & B hardly does it justice, it is much better to think of it as a top, if old fashioned Caribbean Hotel which just happens to be in this lovely corner of Antigua.

You won’t find loud music, you won’t have to suffer entertainment all the time, and you would be very unlucky indeed to come upon that awful sight of the drunks you find at the all-inclusives. The biggest blessing of all is that there are no televisions throughout the hotel, which is a great relief. You will find nice spacious rooms, a fantastic shower, and a good balcony. The beds are comfortable, and quite frankly how much time do you spend there anyway.

The room rate at Long Bay Hotel is half board covering breakfast and dinner, and both meals are good quality with great food, and plenty of it. At Dinner there is a choice for each of the courses, and joy of joys you don’t have to book, just turn up between 7.30 and 9.00pm!!

Some people feel a Caribbean holiday, especially an Antigua Holiday isn’t complete without a hotel swimming pool, which is of course just crazy, when places like Antigua reputedly have one beach for every day of the year, and some of the best beaches in the world to boot. Long Bay Hotel has no pool, but what it does have is a lovely beach and a great beach house restaurant. The beach is so good that people come from all inclusive hotels close by, and actually pay to hire sun loungers and enjoy the peace and quiet. There are two ways of looking at this, and the first is that it is a compliment to the atmosphere created by the Long Bay Hotel, but the other is that they shouldn’t be allowed to come and put at risk the ambiance.

All in all the Long Bay Hotel will give you a great Antigua Holiday, and with small touches like no deposit to play pool or table tennis, it will make you feel very much at home in this lovely oceanfront, personal service Caribbean Inn.

When looking for a Caribbean holiday staying in a holiday villa, Antigua and Barbuda is the place to go. It is the biggest of the British Leeward Islands with a multifaceted coastline with safe harbours. It has a protective and almost unbroken wall of coral reef.

In 1784 the Admiral Horatio Nelson sailed to Antigua and established Great Britain’s most important Caribbean base. He would never have thought about 200 years later the same exceptional characteristics that fascinated the Royal Navy would convert Antigua and Barbuda in one of the Caribbean’s premier tourist destinations.

This holiday will offer you an array of pastimes like sailing, yachting, snorkelling and scuba diving. And if nothing else you can just plain and simple enjoy yourself. It has some of the most luxurious holiday villas of any holiday destination in the world.

Antigua and Barbuda, a dual island nation is well known for its beaches and is a much loved place for yachtsmen. There is no dearth of tourist facilities. There are no language issues as English is the main language. You can make use of the banking facilities and will find ATMs right through the island. It can be said to be one of the best places in the world to have a holiday and stay in a holiday villa.

It has outstanding beaches, great holiday homes and friendly locals. The vivacious culture, excellent restaurants and superb climate make this an ideal holiday destination with families staying in holiday villas. You can choose the tours and excursions as per your choice. The coral reefs draw people who snorkel and scuba divers from all over the world. And the captivating small island of Barbuda, which was once a hunter’s paradise, is now homes the region’s most noteworthy bird sanctuaries.

There is no shortage of flights into the island daily, from all corners of the world. It is the centre if you want to travel onwards to other small and large islands inside the Caribbean.

The temperature here is mostly between mid seventies in the winter to the mid eighties in the summer. The annual rainfall here is pretty low, making Antigua and Barbuda the sunniest of the Eastern Caribbean Islands. Humidity here is also very low all the year round.

There are other thrilling activities which you can enjoy like boating, cricket, tennis, windsurfing, hiking and bird watching, fishing and hunting, horseback riding and also golfing. This is a great place and you can enjoy the relaxed pace of a Caribbean holiday at Antigua and Barbuda. With all these great activities it is not surprising that they are one of the Caribbean’s leading destinations for tourists renting holiday villas.

No holiday to the Antigua and Barbuda can be completed without spending a superb day just relaxing , sipping a rum punch, and the Caribbean sun adding to your tan and the warm winds blowing to keep you cool. You can take pleasure in motorboat tours, eco tours, sailing tours, land tours and even charter a yacht for a day of sport fishing.

You can be sure that every different excursion will help you discover a new Antigua. It is also a good idea to spend a day snorkelling off a beach or even sunbathing.
